Mr. Frank Mwiti is the CEO of the Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc. Mr. Mwiti is a dynamic and accomplished senior business leader with more than two decades of diverse global and regional professional experience in strategy, governance, business development, Corporate Finance, M&A, investment banking, risk management and performance improvement. He has advised governments, investors, shareholders, boards and CEOs across the UK, US, EU, Russia, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Prior to his appointment as the CEO of the Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc, he served as a Partner and Eastern Africa Markets Leader at EY, leading Strategy, M&A and Business Development across Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia and South Sudan. He previously held senior executive roles in London (UK) at UBS Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank, EY and PwC.

Mr. Mwiti equally served as CEO and Managing Director at Afrika Kapital in the UK, a firm he founded and in which he was involved in advising investment banks, private equity firms and hedge funds across forex, equities, fixed income, commodities, synthetics and listed derivatives in London, New York, Frankfurt, Singapore, Moscow, and Hong Kong.

Mr. Mwiti holds an Executive Management qualification from MIT (US), a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Mutesi Rusagara is a Rwandan professional with a strong background in finance, innovation and economic development. In June 2024, she was appointed as the state minister in charge of Resource Mobilization and Public Investment at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Rwanda. In this role, she is responsible for identifying and analyzing strategic opportunities for profit-oriented public investments to drive Rwanda's economic growth and transformation.

Before her ministerial appointment, Tesi served as the Chief Executive Officer of Agaciro Development Fund, Rwanda's sovereign wealth fund.

Hon Tesi Rusagara holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance from the University of Cape Town.

Nandini Sukumar is the Chief Executive Officer of the World Federation of Exchanges, the global association for exchanges and CCPs. The WFE represents more than 250 exchanges and clearing houses globally, educating stakeholders on the vital role played by market infrastructures in the real economy and as a standard setter, finding the consensus on issues among the global membership. Of our members, 37% are in Asia-Pacific, 44% in EMEA and 19% in the Americas. WFE’s 87 member CCPs and clearing services collectively ensure that risk takers post some $1.3 trillion (equivalent) of resources to back their positions, in the form of initial margin and default fund requirements. Abena Amoah serves as the Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, bringing extensive experience in capital market operations and strategic development across West Africa.

With a distinguished career in financial services spanning over 18 years, Ms. Amoah has been pivotal in modernizing Ghana's capital markets infrastructure and enhancing investor participation. She holds advanced degrees in Finance and Economics.

At the ASEA Conference 2025, Ms. Amoah will lead discussions on sustainable finance and how African exchanges can drive ESG investment initiatives.

Ms Diana Okine is currently the Deputy General Manager in charge of Strategy & International Relations at the Ghana Stock Exchange. Her roles include ensuring the successful implementation of the GSE's Strategic plan, maintaining GSE's strategic alliances and relationship with international partners and donors, Capital Market Associations as well as governmental relations.

She has been with the Exchange since its establishment in 1990 serving in various capacities including Company Secretary, Head of Education and Head of Marketing & PR. She has been instrumental in mapping out the strategic direction of the GSE and the formulation of GSE's Strategic plans including the current 3-year plan. She has extensive experience and exposure in capital market operations and activities through various international and local training.

Diana holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology with Linguistics and an MBA (Marketing) from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also holds a Diploma in PR and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. She is an Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).

She serves on the Board of the Ghana Investment Securities Institute (GISI) and is a member of the Education and Training Committee of the GSIA as well as the Sustainability & Capacity Building Working Group of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA).

Ms. Lina Tonui is the Project Manager for the African Exchanges Linkage Project (AELP), leading cross-functional teams to advance financial market infrastructure and integration across Africa. With over 20 years in capital markets, asset management, and program management, she brings a practical, results-driven approach to multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Previously with Holland Capital Management in Chicago, Lina contributed to portfolio strategy and client solutions. She holds a Master of Finance from the University of Wollongong and undergraduate degrees in Commerce, Business Administration, and Accounting.

Mr. Jean Bosco Iyacu is the Chief Executive Officer since February 2021. Before joining AFR, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Business Development Center (RBDC), an entrepreneurship and business incubation facility. Cecil Foster is a Founder and the Managing Director of one of the largest lighting, electrical and solar energy distributors in Jamaica, the FosRich Company Limited, which was established in 1993. He has a Degree in Marketing from the University of Technology, with emphasis on business development and marketing.

He is the Vice President of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association Limited (JMEA) and is the President of the Adventist Laypersons’ Services and Industries (ASI JAMU). Mr. Foster is a member of the King’s House Foundation Board of Governors, and Chairman of the Grounds, Security and Maintenance Sub-Committee of the Board. Mr. Foster was recently elected as a member of the National Council on Technical and Vocation Education and Training.

He is a long-standing member of the Incorporated Master Builders Association of Jamaica and the co-founder of the Good Samaritan Inn, which provides meals three times per week to approximately 600 persons from the inner-city communities of Kingston. The Good Samaritan Inn also serves as an overnight drop in facility for the homeless.

Mr. Foster is a Senior Elder at Andrews Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Dr. Marlene Street Forrest is the Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) and Director of both its subsidiaries. Her mandate is to continue the process of developing the JSE Group and particularly the Exchange, in an atmosphere of transparency and fairness while utilizing appropriate technology in providing the greatest possible efficiencies to the market.

Dr. Street Forrest has a wealth of experience having worked in senior management positions at varying private and public sector organizations here in Jamaica and overseas. Under her stewardship, the JSE became demutualized and the US Denominated Market and the Junior Market were launched. She also spearheaded the Registrar Division of the Jamaica Central Depository (JCSD) when she served as General Manager for this subsidiary of the JSE.

Dr. Street Forrest attended the University of the West Indies, Mona, where she read for the Bachelors Degree in Management Studies and later gained her Masters in Business Administration at the Barry University in Florida.

Mr. Pierre Celestin RWABUKUMBA, a Rwandan national, is the current President of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA), Former Chairman of the East African Securities Exchanges Association (EASEA), and Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Stock Exchange Ltd. He is also serving on a number of other boards and advisory boards within the financial sector in Rwanda, hospitality, and manufacturing industries where he serves as a non – Executive Director.

Over the past two decades, he has been involved in different investment projects ranging from manufacturing, Real Estate, Poultry and Agro-processing to Energy production. Mr. Rwabukumba started his career in financial services in New York City more than a two decades ago after graduating from the University of Buffalo (UB), New York in the United States with A bachelor's Degree in Economics.

He worked in different professional positions as a stockbroker, in Compliance and Operations, Institutional Investors' Sales and Advisory before he joined the Central Bank of Rwanda in 2004 to help start the Capital Market Development Project in Rwanda. Mr. Rwabukumba is a seasoned negotiator as he has been instrumental in different negotiations on regional integration of the East African Community and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECAS).

An accountant by training, Mr. Bwiso has over 20 years' experience in the finance sector, where he has held various senior roles with supervisory responsibility in the areas of financial planning, value-driven reporting, business analysis and strategic planning.

Prior to joining the Exchange, Mr. Bwiso was the General Manager Dyer and Blair Investment Bank Uganda. Since taking on the CEO role at USE, Mr. Bwiso has championed several transformative initiatives, including the Exchange's full transition to an automated trading system and the successful completion of its demutualisation in 2017.

He has also overseen several technological innovations and product development such as the Easy Portal, Data Vending and Registry products inter alia, the establishment of the USE Specialist Market and the USE Commodities Exchange. Mr. Bwiso is the current Chairman of the East African Securities Exchanges Association (EASEA), reflecting his regional leadership in deepening capital market integration and innovation.

BRIEF PROFILE OF MR. PETERSON EKOW AFEDZIE

Mr. Afedzie is the former Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, a former member of the Council (Board) of the Exchange and a lawyer. Mr. Afedzie worked with the Ghana Stock Exchange since its establishment in 1990 for over 32 years and has over 20 years board experience with various institutions. He served on the Boards of the Central Securities Depository (CSD) Ghana LTD., Ghana Investment and Securities Institute Ltd and Venture Capital Trust Fund. Mr. Afedzie was also a member of the governing committees of Ghana Alternative Market (GAX) and Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM). Mr. Afedzie was the Chairman of the West Africa Capital Markets Integration Council and the Co-Chair of the Africa Regional Committee of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) with sole responsibility over the West African Sub-Committee. He is the former Vice President of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) and was a member of the Executive Committee of ASEA. He currently serves on the council of the Institute of Directors, Ghana.

He has been associated with many transformational projects at the Ghana Stock Exchange. He was instrumental in molding the GSE and making it relevant to Ghana's financial sector. His zeal to succeed and keep the beacon lit reflected in the planning, coordination and implementation of many transformational projects such as the automation of the trading, clearing and settlement systems, the establishment of the Depository as well as the creation of the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM) and the Ghana Alternative Market (GAX). His diligent drafting of the rules that govern the Exchange cannot be overemphasized. During his tenure as the Managing Director, the GSE was admitted to full membership of the International Capital Market Association as well as the prestigious World Federation of Exchanges. His efficient leadership is further evidenced by the GSE recording its highest net profit after tax in its history under his watch.

He was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana where he obtained a master's degree in business administra3on, (MBA) in 1989, a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Economic Policy Management in 2010 and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture in 1985. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from Mountcrest University College and a Qualifying Cer3ficate in law from the Ghana School of Law. Mr. Akin Adigun, CFA works as a Principal Investment Officer- Capital Markets at the African Development Bank (AfDB). He has more than fifteen years' experience working in international financial institutions across capital markets, development finance, investment banking, research, and portfolio management.

His work at the AfDB includes promoting innovative solutions and product offerings for the development of efficient capital markets and deepening financial integration.

Mrs. Akane Zoukpo Sanankoua is the Division Manager of the Capital Markets Development Division at the African Development Bank Group in charge of private sector and public sector capital markets development transactions across Africa using the range of AfDB instruments. Akane has been instrumental in expanding the Bank's growing partial credit guarantee interventions in support of sustainable financing mobilization for the Bank's clients. Akane joined the Bank in 2014 and has served in several roles within the Capital Markets Development Division, most recently as Chief Investment Officer responsible for leading a broad range of African capital markets development operations and activities.

Akane started her career in investment banking in 2007 at Citigroup, where she worked in the Debt Capital Markets department based in London. At Citi, she provided interest rate and currency risk hedging solutions for European corporates. Akane holds a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Master's of Science (MSc) in Management - specializing in Finance, from ESCP Europe.

Dr. Hosea Kili, MBS is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Group Managing Director/CEO of CPF Group. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK), Fellow Member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), and active member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

Currently serving as President of the Association of Pension Trustees & Administrators of Kenya (APTAK) and the Pack Hunters Club (PHC), Dr. Kili is also a Council member of the Africa Social Security Association (ASSA). He previously served as a Non-Executive Director at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and is a Council member of the Kenya National Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

A recipient of numerous national honors, Dr. Kili was awarded the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) in 2025 and the Presidential Order of Grand Warrior (OGW) in 2011. He was named 2nd Runners up CEO of the Year at the COYA Awards 2012 and recognized as Personality of the Year at the 2023 and 2017 Pension Awards for excellence in innovation and service provision.

Dr. Kili was also recognized as 2nd Runners up in the 'CEO of the Year' category during the 2024, 2018 and 2017 Champions of Governance Awards. He previously served as a member of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) bureau and Finance Committee from 2019-2022, demonstrating his international expertise in social security and pension fund management.

Rami El Dokany has more than twenty years of professional experience in the field of capital markets, private equity, investments, corporate finance, strategic planning and business development, accompanied by a strong educational background, from prominent local and international institutions. El Dokany was appointed as the Executive Chairman of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on the 25th of August 2022 till 24th of August 2023.

Prior to this, in 2019, Rami was appointed as Secretary General of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets, to formulate a common vision for the Arab Capital markets. Arab Federation of Capital Markets is the home for more than 24 Arab exchanges and clearing houses, as well as many prominent brokerage firms throughout the Arab World. During his post as the Secretary General of the AFCM, he managed to tailor a strategic restructuring program of the federation, allowing more inclusion among its members, abiding to governance practices and providing a sustainable path for the federation, taking its revenues from US$ 177k in 2019 to over US$ 1 million by the end of 2024.

Rami co-founded Pride Capital in 2017 to utilize his long experience in financial services and investments and passion to technology, and recently launched a fintech accelerator with Start-up boot camp in Cairo - the program is supported by Alex Bank, Visa, IFC, GIZ, Pharos Holding, Ayady & Export Development Bank of Egypt, and has invested in more than 11 startups in 1 year.

Rami was a Board member of BM Lease- subsidiary to Banque Misr, and an Investment committee member of the VC program of the Social Development Fund (in cooperation With the World Bank; where he approved several investments in debt and equity with multiple start-ups and accelerators like Cairo based FlatoLabs, as well a former Investment Committee member of the Insurance Holding Co.

His last post was VP at Al-Ahly Capital Holding - the investment arm of the National Bank of Egypt. During his post, he joined the Board of Directors of one of the leading oil refineries in Alexandria - Alexandria Mineral Oils Co. and handled the strategic restructuring of the company's investors relations and approach to the Capital Markets. Before that, Rami worked in HC investment banking, Etisalat Misr, LINKdotNET, and MIBank.

Rami Holds an M.Sc. From Wales University & B.Sc. in economics from Cairo University. As well as several executive certificates including Oxford University Fintech program, Cambridge University's strategy for COs program, London Business School Private Equity program, and Amsterdam Institute of Finance Valuation program.

Michael B Johnson is the Deputy Group Business Development Manager at the Jamaica Stock Exchange. His role and duties include but not limited to growing the demand and supply sides of the Stock Market by identifying and meeting with company principals in Jamaica and overseas about using the Capital Market to grow their companies. He is also a key team member that develop and implement market education programmes for all stakeholders include Primary and High Schools, universities, and the investing public.

He has over eighteen (18) years' experience in financial sectors and fifteen (15) Sales & Marketing, Communications, Event Planning and Sponsorship.

During his eighteen years at the JSE he has led the logistic and planning for multiple Investor Fora, and Conferences that have generated significant revenue for the JSE Group. His logistic and planning experiences have seen him being invited to serve on the planning committee for the Bi-annual Jamaica Diaspora Conference team, and multiple Rotary District Conference.

Mr. Johnson holds a Masters in Banking & Finance from Mona School of Business, a Bachelor in Marketing & Research form the University of Technology and a Teacher's Diploma from GC Foster College. He also holds a PMI Project Management certificate.

Mr. Johnson has been a Rotary for sixteen (16) year and has served President of the Rotary Club of Kingston East & Port Royal 2015-16, and Past 7020 District Treasure 2020-21. He is a Paul Harris Fellow plus two and a Justice of the Peace for the parish of Kingston since 2015.

Stefano Falciani is an international business leader with over two decades of experience in financial markets, fintech, and exchange technology. In his role at Arqa Technologies, he supports the company's growth and partnerships across global capital markets, engaging with exchanges, banks, and regulators to advance market infrastructure and innovation.

Previously, Stefano held senior leadership positions at the London Stock Exchange Group, LIST UK, and Octopus Foundation Holding, and continues to advise financial institutions and fintech companies on international development and technological transformation.

Stefano's expertise spans capital markets, digital assets, financial trading systems, and blockchain innovation, with a strong focus on enabling sustainable and inclusive market development in emerging economies.

He holds a Degree in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Pisa.

Total work experience in the financial market is about 10 years. He has been working in ARQA Technologies team since 2015. In 2019, he was appointed to the position of Director of Sales & Marketing.

He has extensive practice in implementing the front, back, and middle office solutions in Sell side/ Buy side and the platforms for organizing exchange and off-exchange trading around the world.

Before joining ARQA Technologies, Ilya managed purchasing and marketing in various foreign companies engaged in the supply of mining equipment (including the United Republic of Tanzania).

Kampeta has 21 years of progressive professional experience as an international development practitioner in both public and private institutions within Rwanda and the East African Region focusing on designing and implementing reforms.

She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Development Bank of Rwanda Plc (BRD). As a public institution, BRD's financial development objectives is focused on providing private capital to the private sector in priority sectors of the economy (i.e. Agriculture, Education, Energy, Exports, Housing, climate change and Special Projects). Its aim is to be the driver of private sector lending and de-risking instruments and be the main financier of medium and long term private investment. For more than four decades, BRD has been the sole provider of long term concessional finance to the private sector and financial institutions and has facilitated the emergence of innovative private enterprises in priority sectors.

Prior to joining the Bank, she was the Director General of the National Industrial Research and Development Agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She served in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning for over a decade including 6 years as the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury.

Kampeta has also served on the Board of Directors of diverse institutions such as PTA/TDB Bank, the East African Development Bank, Rwanda Eurobond Committee, GT Bank, the National Capacity Building Secretariat, and Rwanda Revenue Authority. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of Rwanda Bankers Association and Economic Policy Research Network.

She holds a Master's degree in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

Ntoudi bridges the worlds of international finance and African sports development. As Founder of Lefa Foundation and Chairman of Africa Trust Corporation, he's pioneering new ways to channel investment into Africa's sports sector while leveraging on trust and corporate services infrastructure primarily for the benefit of youth and women.

He created Africa's first Sport Investment Label—a certification that helps sports organizations attract funding by proving they have solid governance and financial management. It's about making African sports a credible investment destination and building a sustainable sport industry.

Previously, as Managing Director of Pawatech Africa (former Mchezo Limited), Ntoudi led the development of the iGaming operation across 17 African countries, with an innovative 'micro-share' issuance programs for thousands of loyal customers and the introduction of the Locker Room Bonus—a sponsorship model that pays athletes directly through digital payments.

He also coordinated the launch of the Kigali International Financial Centre, working for Rwanda's ministry of finance to build a competitive financial services sector through extensive policy reforms and acting as the first Chief Investment Officer of Rwanda Finance.

His career also spans Luxembourg and Singapore banking, where he worked in investment funds structuring, wealth management and capital markets before returning to Africa. He serves on boards of financial and sports organizations and holds degrees in Banking and Finance (Luxembourg School of Finance) and Engineering (École Polytechnique de Montréal in Canada).

Jean Claude Uwizeyemungu is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience spanning ICT, Distribution, and Manufacturing. As the Founder and Managing Director of Mahwi Grain Millers Plc, he has successfully steered the agro-processing company to remarkable growth, culminating in its listing on the Rwanda Stock Exchange within just six years of operations.

Since establishing the company in 2018, Jean Claude has demonstrated exceptional leadership. He transformed Mahwi Grain Millers Plc from a startup with zero turnover to an enterprise generating over $10 million in turnover—a milestone that secured its approval to raise funds through the Rwanda Capital Market, with an outlook to turn it into a $30 million turnover company by 2030.

Under his guidance, the company continues to expand its impact, creating over 250 direct jobs and benefiting countless households through its stakeholder network. His vision and strategic leadership have positioned Mahwi Grain Millers Plc as a success story in Rwanda's agro-processing sector and a model for capital market participation by SMEs.

Chanda Chime-Katongo is a highly skilled banking professional with extensive industry experience spanning close to two decades. Furthermore, she has had the privilege of contributing her expertise to the boards of esteemed organisations in diverse roles. Currently, she holds the role of Executive Head of Client Solutions at ZANACO Bank in Zambia.

She is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School Executive Program in Boston USA. She has a Global Executive MBA degree from the University of Manchester in the UK, a Bachelor of Business Studies from Greenwich University in the UK, and an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

She has obtained certification in Customer Service from the esteemed Disney Institute located in Florida, USA. She has also obtained certifications from the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme and the Strategic Innovation Programme offered by the prestigious Said Business School at the University of Oxford in the UK.

Louis BANGA NTOLO started his banking career in 1999 in the Cameroonian subsidiary of Société Générale Group, where he held several positions of Head: Monetics, Treasury/ALM and Capital Markets, Director of Strategy, Marketing and Communication and, Deputy Managing Director between 2009 and 2018.

He was actively involved in the establishment of the Treasury bill market in 2011 and the Cameroonian financial market within Société Générale Cameroon and was appointed by presidential decree, Member of the Financial Markets Commission, the national Financial Market Regulatory Authority.

PhD in Banque, Monnaie et Financement from Université Lumières Lyon II - France, year 1998, Louis BANGA NTOLO is also vacancy lecturer at several Universities and Business Schools in Cameroon (Douala, Yaoundé SOA, IRIC, ESSEC, UCAC) in the Master's cycles since 2001.

From October 2018 to December 2021, He was appointed Managing Director of Société Générale Capital Securities Central Africa, the brokerage company created by Société Générale Group in Central Africa the same year.

Since January 2022, He is appointed Managing Director of BVMAC (Bourse des Valeurs Mobilières de l'Afrique Centrale), the Stock exchange company of the CEMAC zone.

Ms Jesman Chonzi is the Regional Industry Manager at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. She oversees IFC's investments and portfolio management in the financial sector across East Africa, focusing on advancing sustainable growth and promoting financial inclusion. With more than two decades of experience in financial markets, Ms Chonzi has held senior roles within both international and regional banks operating across East and Southern Africa. Her expertise in emerging markets focusing on capital markets, structured finance, equity and debt instruments provides her with valuable insight into the distinct challenges and opportunities facing the region.

Ms Chonzi holds a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School (Spain), a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management, and a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture - Animal Science from the University of Zimbabwe.

Grace is an Operations Officer, Capital Markets, at the IFC Financial Institutions Group (FIG) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Grace leads IFC FIG Upstream and Advisory's work on capital market development in Africa.

Grace has been leading capital market development programs in Africa since 2007, with the objective of enhancing the ability of capital markets in Africa to support the financing of key development sectors including housing, infrastructure, agribusiness, small businesses and climate mitigation and adaptation activities. She has been involved in capital market development programs and supporting potential upstream capital market transactions across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Namibia; and supporting Kenyan sub-national projects, under the World Bank, among others.

Prior to joining IFC, Grace worked at Associates for International Resources and Development (AIRD) in the USA where she provided support to AIRD's senior economists on projects related to international trade, agricultural policy, trade capacity building and regional integration for African countries. She also worked at Cooperative Bank of Kenya on corporate legal affairs and as an intern at the Nairobi Securities Exchange.

Grace is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy and a Certificate in International Development from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, USA, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi.

Matthieu de Heering is Montran's Global Head of Business Development, Capital Markets, since 2024. In this role, Matthieu leads Montran's business expansion across capital markets – into new products, technologies, geographies, segments, and industry initiatives.

Prior to this, Matthieu was a member of Swift's EMEA leadership team, responsible for Central & Eastern Europe, CIS, and Data & Analytics. He previously served as a Director of Capital Markets Strategy, focusing on digital assets; and as Target2-Securities programme manager.

Before SWIFT, Matthieu headed up the management information & statistics team for Bank of New York Global Custody.

Matthieu is married, and a father of two.

Sheikh Issa is a renowned Tanzania Islamic Finance expert, consultant, advisor and trainer who has twenty years' experience in Islamic finance industry ecosystem.

He is a graduate of BA in Islamic Studies and a Certified Sukuk Professional (CSP) who has worked in Islamic Finance advisory, training and consultancy in a number of both public and private sector including establishment of legal and regulatory frameworks for Ministries of Finance, Capital Markets Authorities in Tanzania, Tanzania and Uganda—as a Consultant to United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE); Islamic Banking Regulations under Bank of Tanzania, Takaful Insurance Guidelines under Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA).

Sheikh Issa has provided trainings on Islamic Banking to the Bank of Tanzania, Takaful Insurance to Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) and Islamic Capital Markets and Products to Tanzania's Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA), Zambia's Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE) and Uganda Capital Markets Authority (CMA). In 2021 he was among ten (10) Islamic Capital Markets experts from across the globe who trained Bangladesh Financial regulators and practitioners in Sukuk.

He is currently serving as a Consultant to the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar (RGoZ) as its Quasi-Sovereign Sukuk Consultant and The Peoples' Bank of Zanzibar (Ikhlas) Shari'ah Advisor.

Tiaan Bazuin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibian Stock Exchange since 2013 and has served on various Boards including Chairman of the Namibian Employers Association of Namibia.

Tiaan is a Lawyer and economist and was admitted as Legal Practitioner in the High Court of Namibia in 2006 with broad management experience in banking, telecommunications and capital markets.

Tiaan is a co-author of the Namibian Corporate Governance Code.

Bertrand Ndengeyingoma is a big tech enthusiast and is currently responsible for the Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR) IT ecosystem, where he holds the Chief Technology & Innovation Officer role.

Bertrand has been in the tech field for 18+ years where he worked in different domains such as healthcare, finance, insurance, & telecommunication. He also holds a Masters degree in Information Technology.

His other passions are in sports and outdoor activities.

Mr. Regis Rugemanshuro serves as the current Chief Executive Officer at RSSB since 2020. Under his leadership RSSB has seen major successful transformational changes in its strategy, legal status, digitization, human capital & organization restructuring, and policy revisions, leading to record social security coverage to date, and investment performance, more than doubling the Return on Investment in that period, with the aim to make RSSB a Member First, Data Driven, High Performing Organization.

Prior to his appointment, he served as a C-Level Bank Executive, CDO, at the largest commercial Bank in Rwanda, Bank of Kigali, where he oversaw its digital transformation journey. He is also the founding CEO of BK TecHouse. During his stint as CEO, Regis had been named the Finalist for the East Africa Innovator of the Year award as part of the 2018 All Africa Business Leaders Award. Under his leadership, BK TechHouse was also voted as the 2017 Best Technology Company in Rwanda.

Before returning to Rwanda, he held senior strategic roles with Hewlett Packard and Accenture in the U.S., advising clients like Microsoft and T-Mobile. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and an MBA from Misericordia University. He is certified in project (PMP) and Scaled Agile Program Management. He is also a YPO member, and serves as a director on private and public boards.

Hon. Nick Barigye is an accomplished executive with extensive experience across finance, investments, and leadership. He currently serves as the Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda, a position he assumed in July 2025. Before joining the Bank, Hon. Nick was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Ventures Ltd (CVL) in 2025.

Over more than a decade, he held various leadership roles within CVL, including Senior Investment Analyst and Group Operations Officer, and in its subsidiaries, where he served as Finance and Administration Manager at Inyange Industries and Deputy General Manager at NPD Ltd. Hon. Nick also led Rwanda Finance Limited as Chief Executive Officer for six years, where he played a key role in developing and promoting the Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC).

Earlier in his career, he was Managing Partner at Karisimbi Business Partners, an Africa-focused investment and advisory firm, and CEO of Mount Meru Soyco Ltd, a company operating in agro-processing and manufacturing. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Strathmore Business School in Kenya and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the National University of Rwanda.

Outside the National Bank, Nick serves as Board Chairman of Zigama Credit and Savings Bank and as a Non-Executive Director at Green Hills Academy.

Mr. David Wainaina is the current Head of Trading and Data Analytics at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. He has over 20 years' experience in the Capital Markets Industry having served in various capacities at the Nairobi Securities Exchange since the year 2004.

David has been central in the implementation of key projects for the Bourse, overall Capital Market and the E.A Region including the automation of the Equities and the Fixed Income (Bonds) market. He was the NSE team lead during the successful launch of the Central bank lead CSD Dhow system in the year 2023. He is currently working on a virtue fintech solution that will support financial inclusion though the bourse.

He has served in various capital market forums including the East African Community market integration initiative, Market Leaders forum by the Central Bank of Kenya, Capital Markets Authority lead Master Plan implementation Working Group, amongst others. He is the current chairman of the Technical Committee of the Association of East African Stock Exchanges and Depositories (EASEA).

David holds a Bachelor of International Business Administration Degree from the United States International University –Africa and a Master of Business Administration from the same institution. He is a full member of institute of certified investment and financial Analysts. He has undertaken numerous courses at local and international levels during this career.

Loise is the Managing Partner at Protos Capital, a leading sustainability integration, impact modelling and sustainability reporting consultancy firm with a footprint across 17 African countries. Loise is a certified sustainability professional with a legal and finance background and 17 years of experience. She is an expert in capital markets, climate adaptation finance, ESG integration and reporting and Value Chain GHG emissions assessment.

Loise is passionate about building sustainable businesses that maximize returns while having a positive impact on the environment and society. In this regard, she works with businesses, policy makers and investors to integrate ESG into investment decision making, strategy, risk management, communication and exit processes.

Loise has championed various initiatives to drive sustainable investments and encourage sustainable business practices within Africa. These include the development of the ESG Disclosure Guidelines for listed companies in Kenya, Rwanda and a unified listing and trading framework for the 14 SADC capital Markets; development of Eco-Labelling Guidelines for Kenyan Manufacturers; and the development of Africa-focused ESG integration playbooks as part of the technical work with the ESG Exchange, South Africa.

She is also an active contributor to the sustainable growth agenda through think tanks, training, publications and thought leadership.

As the Head of Market Development and Sustainability at the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), Alice is focused on driving growth and fostering sustainable practices within the financial market. Her journey began at the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) in Treasury department, before transitioning to the Rwanda Stock Exchange.

Throughout her tenure at the RSE, she has held various positions, starting as an Accountant and progressing to Head of Finance and Administration before assuming her current role. She's spearheaded several key projects, including initiatives to support the development of SMEs and other corporates, resulting in successful fundraisings. She also manages the Green Exchange Window, a platform dedicated to promoting green products and services.

Additionally, she is a member of the RSE Market Development Board Committee and the African Securities Exchanges Association Market Development Committee. She is also a member of the Rwanda ISSB steering committee, and an alumnus of the MI/IFC Capital Market program.

Her expertise spans corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, business restructuring, and regulatory compliance. She is dynamic and passionate about Financial Excellence and Value Creation.

She holds a bachelor's degree in economics majoring in Money and Banking, master's in finance & accounting from Mount Kenya University, and a postgraduate certificate in Capital Markets from the George Washington University. She is also a certified compliance professional from the International Academy. Furthermore, she is the co-founder of the Pesos Investment Co.

Dr. Edoh Kossi Amenounve holds a PhD in Administration and Finance from Laval University in Canada (1995) after an MBA (1992).

Before taking office as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) and the Central Depository/Settlement Bank (DC/BR) in October 2012, Dr. Edoh Kossi Amenounve was from September 2003 to September 2012 Secretary General of West African Monetary Union Financial Markets Authority (AMF-UMOA). He was CEO of the DC/BR from 2012 to 2022.

Dr. Amenounve is a former Chairman of the West African Capital Markets Integration Council (WACMIC) and former President of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA).

Since July 2021, Dr Amenounve is Member of the NASDAQ Exchange Review Council and is considered as one of the most influential finance specialists in Africa.

Michael Mgwaba is the Chief Executive Officer for NewGold Issuer (RF) Limited and head of Exchange Traded Product business for Absa Group. He has worked with a number of Exchanges and Capital Markets to introduce ETFs as a tool to deepen those markets.

Prior to heading the business, he was a senior manager within the product originating and structuring team of Absa's Corporate and Investment banking division for a number of years. With over 12 years' experience in the structuring, management, and distribution of ETPs, Michael has been instrumental and played a leading role in the successful introduction of two flagship ETF's in the market including world largest NewPlat ETF and the New Palladium. He also played a critical role in introducing other market leading non-commodity such as fixed income listed products in South African and some in other African markets.

A business leader who has earned his place on Africa's Top 100 CEOs list, a prestigious recognition by African CEO Magazine, Aupa is a finance industry giant.

He brings over 20 years of senior management experience, with a notable career spanning Pan-African markets, financial innovation, and digital transformation. His leadership at Letshego Holdings Limited as Group Chief Executive and, previously, as Group Chief Operating Officer, saw him successfully execute and implement Letshego's Transformation Plan. This included unlocking value for stakeholders through initiatives covering products, infrastructure, and operational enhancements, as well as restructuring various assets.

His tenure at Letshego showcased his extensive global engagements especially across Africa, deepening his understanding of the diverse financial ecosystems within the continent. He has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering financial inclusion and building robust frameworks for long-term growth.

Prior to Letshego, Aupa held key leadership positions at ABSA (formerly Barclays Bank), including as Managing Executive for Virtual Channels. In this role, he consolidated digital capabilities to drive financial inclusion, showcasing his ability to combine strategic vision with impactful execution across multiple markets.

Now in his most impactful role as the CEO of the BSE, Aupa is critical to Botswana's transformational agenda by spearheading mobilization of capital for development and supporting the transformation agenda. Central to his efforts is to democratize wealth and ownership through broad based retail investor participation. He is also at the core of driving transparency, governance and accelerating green and sustainable finance.

He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Botswana and several Executive Development Programmes on Leadership from various universities.

Laura has over 15 years of experience in emerging capital markets. She is a specialist in capital market reforms, and creating enabling business and investment environments.

She has a diverse and global work experience, working in government (Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Uganda, Rwanda Development Board), implementing agencies (Rwanda Finance Ltd), regulators (Capital Markets Authority Uganda), investment banking (J.P. Morgan), development agencies (LuxDev) and as an independent consultant.

Her passion is to make capital markets work for a sustainable future for everyone.

Joseph Rono is a Finance and Investments professional with over 23 years' experience in private and public sectors within the East African region. He currently works for CPF Group as Senior Group Executive Director where he oversees Assets under Administration of over Kes.400 billion. He has been involved in formulation and implementation of Complex Corporate Strategies, Financial Modelling, and driving complex Investments decisions.

Mr. Rono is a recipient of numerous awards including "Chief Investment Officer of the Year" Award at the 2017 Pension Awards and "Manager of the Year" award at the 2019 Company of the Year Awards. Rono is currently writing his thesis for PHD- Finance and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Nairobi and BSc. Mathematics and Computer from JKUAT.

Professionally he is Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and holds memberships to ICPAK, ICIFA and Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (UK).

Mr Murangwa Yusuf is the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning. He is a professional statistician and operational researcher with over 20 years of experience in official statistics, development and national economic development. He holds a Master's Degree in Applied Statistics and Operations Research from Cardiff University.

Until his appointment, he served as the Director General of the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda since 2009. He also served as the Chairperson Board of Directors of Rwanda Revenue Authority and the Chairperson Board of Directors National Identification Agency.

He has contributed to statistics development both at regional and global levels in various capacities including as the Chair of the Board of PARIS21 (Partnership for Statistics Development in 21st Century) at OECD.

Hannington is the Managing Director of Equity Bank Rwanda. He holds a degree in Business Administration (Finance option) from Makerere University Business School, a graduate of Advanced Management Programme from Strathmore Business School. He is a Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative-East Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

He has over 19 years work experience in banking and Private Sector Development with extensive knowledge and a track record in Strategic Leadership, Banking and Finance, Management and Communications.

He has held various leadership positions while working with different reputable organizations in the past including TradeMark East Africa, Rwanda Private Sector Federation, Commercial Bank of Rwanda (BCR), Rwanda Investment Export Promotion Agency (RIEPA-now known as Rwanda Development Board). He holds several positions of responsibility in Boards of corporates and parastatals.

Ivy Hesse is a seasoned investment professional with over 18 years of experience in key roles in Capital Markets in Ghana and Rwanda. Throughout her career, Ivy has been a staunch advocate for the development of resident capital market institutions and the creation of sustainable wealth across Sub-Saharan Africa.

She has worked with prominent investment industry institutions such as Databank Groups and SEM associates in Ghana. In her recent eleven years as a Capital Market consultant, Ivy served as the Technical Consultant engaged with MINECOFIN for the operationalization of the Rwanda Stock Exchange Investment Clinic Secretariat.

Currently, she is a member of the CFA Institute Africa Advocacy Council. Ivy holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), and Bachelor's degrees in Economic Major and Business Geography.

Collen Tapfumaneyi is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of the Escrow Group comprising Financial Securities Exchange, Corpserve Registrars and Escrow Systems. He holds an MSc. Finance, MBA, and ACCA Dip FM qualifications.

He was previously CEO of Custody and Registrar Services Limited (Kenya) following the acquisition of the company from Barclays Bank of Kenya. Collen has a long and successful track record in the capital markets and as a provider of capital markets and financial services solutions in Africa.

Sunil Benimadhu joined the SEM as Chief Executive in May 1998. He was appointed Executive Director on the SEM's Board in October 2008. He holds an MBA in Finance and Investment from the University of Illinois, United States. He also holds a D.E.A. in Development Economics and a Maîtrise in Macro-Economics from the University of Aix-Marseille, France.

Sunil has been the Chairman of Global Finance Mauritius from July 2014 to October 2020 and a director of Mauritius Finance from November 2020 to April 2024. He has been a director on the Board of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), an association of the World's leading Stock Exchanges from October 2014 to September 2021.

Sunil was the President of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) an association of 25 Exchanges operating on the continent, from August 2010 to November 2014. From 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE), which comprises twelve Stock Exchanges of the South Asian region. From April 2001 to February 2004, he chaired the SADC Committee of Stock Exchanges (COSSE), an association of stock exchanges which includes ten exchanges of the Southern African region.

Pedro Frederico Cossa is a Development Economics Specialist with a degree in Management and Finance from the Higher Institute of Information and Communication Technologies. He also holds certifications in programs such as Financial Literacy from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and Financial Markets from the Banking Training Institute of Portugal.

He has served as the Chief Finance Officer of the Municipal Company for Mobility and Parking (EMME). Additionally, he is the President of the Mozambique Association of Economists (AMECON). Pedro Cossa was also a Member of Parliament in the Assembly of the Republic from 2015 to 2020.

A dedicated professional of the Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM) since 2009, he has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Director of Operations. Currently, he serves as the President of the Board of Directors of BVM, S.A.

Michèle Carlsson serves as the Managing Director of Nasdaq in the Middle East and Africa and sits as non-executive member on the board of directors at the Swedish Business Council. Michèle has been representing Nasdaq in the Middle East since 2009, where she is focused on bringing the capacity of services and expertise of Nasdaq to the Middle East and Africa, making sure that clients receive the attention and care that they deserve.

Michèle joined the technology arm of the NASDAQ OMX in 1998 where she was assigned to lead development teams with a focus on technology. Her expansive portfolio includes the delivery of the Nordic Exchange Alliance, bringing Trading, Clearing, CSD and Surveillance solutions to the Australian Stock Exchange, the Saudi Tadawul Exchange and the Egypt Stock Exchange amongst other marketplaces. Michèle relocated from Stockholm to Cairo in 2006, where she served as the CTO of EGID, the joint venture between Nasdaq and the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Michèle brings over 30 years of experience in the fintech space and is committed to the development and growth of Middle Eastern and African capital markets. Michèle has always held a client-centric approach, ensuring Nasdaq's customers receive the support they need to thrive. In her current role, she is focused on creating new opportunities for markets everywhere, within and beyond the capital markets.

An astute leader with a strong record of transformation, Moribame, who serves as Head of Market Development at the Botswana Stock Exchange, is a distinguished economist and financial markets expert with over 18 years of experience spanning capital markets development, international trade, SME financing, business development, Marketing and policy reform.

She holds a Master of Commerce in Economics from Stellenbosch University, where her research focused on mineral rent utilization for economic diversification in Botswana. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences Degree specializing in Economics and Public Administration from the University of Botswana, she has also studied International Trade and the Multilateral Trading System at the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan.

Beyond her role at the BSE, Moribame is a sought-after Pan-African thought leader, serving on the board of Nabo Capital (Kenya) and contributing to the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) Policy & Regulatory Working Group. Her recent appointment to the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges Advisory Group on SMEs and Sustainability (2024) further underscores her role in shaping global policy on inclusive and sustainable finance.

Moribame's recognition by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), as one of the WFE Top 20 Women Leaders for 2025, acknowledges her excellence, leadership, and transformative impact. Ms. Moribame has a strong commercial focus and is a firm believer of inclusion and diversity. She has championed several partnerships across different stakeholders.

Robert Mathu is a capital market professional with over 30 years in the securities industry. He started his career in 1990 at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, and in 1997, went on to start new stock exchanges across Eastern African countries. He has been involved in setting up most of the stock exchanges and some capital market regulators in the EAC, including Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

He has done some work in the Caribbean Islands. He has consulted on capital markets with Governments', Ministries of Finance, Central Banks, capital market regulators, and commercial banks. He has also operated as a stockbroker and investment banker over the years.

He is currently the consulting CEO of the Burundi securities Exchange and Principal Consultant at Blockweb Africa, a capital market consulting firm based in Nairobi.

Patience has an MBA in Finance from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands and a BSc in Quantitative Economics, Makerere University, Uganda. She joined BPR Bank from TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) where she was serving as the Country Director. She was responsible for maintaining strategic relationships with government, private sector, civil society, and donor community, while overseeing strategic projects implementation in trade facilitation in Rwanda.

She has diversified background in the financial sector including credit management, product development and fundraising, extensive experience in deal origination, negotiation, structuring, and execution as well as credible expertise in strategic risk management having previously served as Corporate Bank Head, Ecobank Rwanda and Cluster Head for EAC as well as Deputy Head of Corporate Banking and Senior Relationship Manager, BCR.

Dr. Monique Nsanzabaganwa is a Rwandan high profiled leader, seasoned economist and financial expert with 25+ years of experience in international banking, trade, finance, and economic development. She is immediate former Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, a position she held after 11 years at the Central Bank of Rwanda as Deputy Governor.

She previously served as Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister of State in charge of Economic Planning. Dr. Monique has a track record of leadership of innovation in promoting intra-African trade and investments, in promoting collaboration among Pan-African financial institutions such as the Alliance of African Multilateral Financial Institutions – The Africa Club, and in establishing SMEs, women and youth as key actors in value and supply chains and the digital economy.

She is serving on a number of Advisory Boards, including the G20 Africa Expert Panel.

A Rwandan economist and former Finance Minister, Dr. Kaberuka is the 7th President of the African Development Bank (2005-2015). He is credited for expanding the reach and impact of AfDB, Africa's premier financial institution during his two terms as President.

Dr. Kaberuka is currently the African Union High Representative for Financing, the Peace Fund and COVID19 response. He served as Board Chair of The Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria (2019 – 2023). Prior to his leadership at the African Development Bank, he served as Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Rwanda (1997 – 2005).

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of several organisations and think tanks including the Rockefeller Foundation, Center for Global Development, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, and The Brookings Institution. He serves on the International Advisory Council of Standard Chartered Bank and Co-Chair of Council on State Fragility. He was also nominated in 2017 to Chair the panel on the third External Evaluation of the International Monetary Fund.

Since retiring from the African Development Bank, he is Chairman and Managing Partner of SouthBridge, a financial and investment advisory firm which he co-founded.
